Coach Peterson is beginning her 2nd year at Plano East, as the

Head Coach of the Lady Panther Softball Team. She has been

a teacher and coached softball, volleyball, and soccer for the

last eight years. Coach Peterson graduated from Plano East,

and played softball here. At East she played shortstop and

outfield, and was a part of a very successful program making

the playoffs all four years, winning two district championships

and going to state. She attended Texas Tech University where

she majored in Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

Coach Peterson continued her education and received her

Masters in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State. This

year, she will be teaching Family and Consumer Sciences

classes at Plano East. Coach Peterson is extremely excited to

be coaching and teaching at her alma mater. This school, this

field and these school colors mean so much to her, and she is

excited to be a part of a program that was built on so many

traditions. Coach Peterson’s favorite part of working with

young athletes is seeing how genuinely excited they get when

they achieve their goals, and she can’t wait to be a part of

helping the Plano East Lady Panthers achieve theirs!

Coach Anderson will be in her 2nd year as the Varsity

Assistant coach of the Plano East High School Softball

Team and in her 5th year working in Plano ISD, 7th year

teaching overall.

She played collegiate softball at Heartland Junior College

in Illinois, transferring to Texas Wesleyan University

in Fort Worth, TX after her sophomore year. While at

Wesleyan, she was a 1st and 3rd baseman and earned 2nd

team All Sooner Athletic Conference awards in 2014.

Coach Anderson graduated with a Bachelor degree in

Exercise Science. She currently teaches PE at our feeder,

Schell Elementary School.

Coach Kaitlyn Packett is in her 3rd year teaching/coaching

for Plano East. She teaches Honors Chemistry/IPC at

Williams High School and is in her 2nd year coaching

softball. Coach Packett is a former four-year letter athlete,

and a 2013 graduate of Allen High School, where she was a

dual sport athlete.

She attended East Texas Baptist University where she

earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2017,

while also being a part of the women’s basketball team for

4 years. She is also finishing up her Masters in Healthcare

Administration in May of 2024. Coach Packett is excited for

the opportunity to be a part of this softball program and to

help instill a culture of perseverance, ownership, work ethic,

engagement, and respect that these young women can use

not only on the field but through future endeavors in life.

Coach Justin Miller, born in Louisiana, is a passionate

individual who pursued his education at Grambling

State University. His academic journey led him to earn

a master’s degree in sports administration. Justin not

only excels in the field of education but also shares

his expertise as a football coach, shaping the future

of athletes. Additionally, he imparts knowledge in

world geography, showcasing his diverse interests and

dedication to both sports and education. This is Coach

Miller’s first season coaching softball.
